Zanii is a consumer service that helps you remember UAE deadlines and documents. For your account — your phone number, profile, reminders and billing — we are the data controller. We are not a government service, a bank or an insurance provider; we do not log into any portal on your behalf.

Account data: your WhatsApp phone number, name if you provide one, language preference and subscription tier. Facts you have asked us to remember: deadlines, reference numbers, amounts and the context needed to remind you correctly. Audit data: a signed receipt for every action Zanii takes on your behalf, kept so you can verify it.

We do not hold the original images or documents you forward. They are deleted after the relevant facts are extracted, usually within minutes. The extracted fact is what we keep.

We only store what is needed to run the service. A photo of your visa is used to read the expiry date and number; those extracted values are stored, and the photo is deleted. We do not keep documents for training, analytics or any secondary purpose.

Actions Zanii takes on your behalf are written to an append-only public log so they can be verified without trusting us. That log is, by design, impossible to rewrite — so it never contains message content, document images or any identifier that could be traced back to a person. It holds a salted hash: enough to prove a specific action was the one recorded, useless to anybody reading the log.

You can delete your account and all facts associated with it at any time from the app or by emailing hello@zanii.agency. Accounting records are kept for the period UAE law requires, currently five years. The transparency log survives deletion by design because it contains no personal data.

Your account data and extracted facts are stored in the UAE region, which is our intent for UAE data residency. WhatsApp itself processes messages on Meta's infrastructure under Meta's own terms, which we do not control. A receipt reference in our transparency log may be backed up to other regions for availability, but it contains no personal content.
